1、Symantec官方的病毒定义库更新分为两种：Liveupdate（自动更新）和Intelligent Updater（智能更新），其中Intelligent Updater的更新速度较快；2、SAV9.0及其以上的版本的Symantec防病毒系统，在经过配置后基本都会优先下载Intelligent Updater（智能更新）的病毒定义库的；3、需使用SSC（Symantec系统中心）配置SAV服务器的病毒定义库更新设置，SAV服务器－所有任务－Symantec AntiVirus－病毒定义管理器，默认设置是每周五下载一次病毒定义库，建议修改为每天凌晨5：00左右自动连接Symantec网站自动更新即可.
使用“计划任务”等自动方式连接到：http://www.symantec.com/avcenter/download/pages/US-SAVCE.html下载XDB文件并拷贝到SAV服务器的：c:\program files\sav目录即可，然后重启Symantec AntiVrius服务或直接重启系统即可实现升级到最新的病毒定义库了
